Debating

St Saviour's College has made a significant contribution to Darling Downs Region Debating over many years. The College staff provides the support needed to maintain the high involvement of students from years 8 to 12. Students are given the opportunity to analyse issues in a team and express their opinions persuasively and confidently by their involvement in public speaking and debating. Significant debating expertise is provided to coach the students before and after school as well as at lunch time. St Saviour's fields over 5 teams in the QDU Toowoomba Competition. 

Each year a College Public Speaking contest is held and students have the opportunity to enter "Youth Speaks for Australia" and "Rostrum" competition.
