Sophia's Circle
At Saviour's College, with its emphasis on relationships and the living of life to its fullest, it is natural for us to form circles focusing on discussion and shared leadership. As a College community, we are committed to a program that aims to develop young women who are flexible in a changing world and fully prepared to make a difference in that world. We build relationships based on the principle of looking outwards by listening to, challenging and supporting each other. We strive to provide a place where our students feel fulfilled, valued and happy.
Much of the co-curricular life of the College is organised through our Sophia's Circles. Named after the Greek goddess of Wisdon, these circles allow staff and students to gather in interest areas, have awareness and organise activities.
This develops excellent rapport between teachers and girls who benefit mutually from the different environments and expectations of these programs.
Sophia's Circles offered are:
- Academic
- Community
- Celebration & Liturgy
- Cultural
- Environment
- Sport & Recreation
Other activities that assist in the development of leadership skills and teamwork include:
- Debating
- Interact
- Public Speaking
Co-curricular programmes extend and enhance the College curriculum.
